Judith Lynn Quick, 82, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022. Judy was an avid reader and loved working crossword puzzles. She taught at the elementary level at West Spring Street School from 1961 to 1973. Judy went on to retire from the New Albany Floyd County School system as director of Head Start in 2014.
She was born on December 20, 1939, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late French and Fern (Lewis) Million. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Quick, Jr.; sister, Suzanne Strauss; and brother, French Million.
Judy is survived by her loving son, Charles E. Quick III; and her dear friends, Jason Brumfield and Pam Bruner.
Cremation was chosen following Judy's wishes, and no services will be held at this time. Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana) was entrusted with her care.
