Judith Kay (Wilson) Gibson

Judith Kay (Wilson) Gibson, 76, of Lanesville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at her home, surrounded by family. She adored her grandchildren and loved getting to spend time with her family. Judy was an avid fan of the Indiana Hoosiers and enjoyed watching her grandson play baseball. She liked working out in her flower beds and going shopping.

She was born on February 27, 1946, in New Albany, Indiana, to James and Ruth (Cox) Wilson. In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her siblings, Billy Wilson, Joyce Wassing, and Barbara Messenger.

Judy is survived by her husband of 58 years, Lynn Gibson; son, Kevin Gibson (Lesley); grandchildren, Kelsey Short (Seth) and Brandon Gibson; siblings, Larry Wilson, Carol Siltz (Wayne), Steve Wilson (Brenda), and Jim Wilson (Pam); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and -nephews.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Tuesday after 9:00 a.m. Her funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
