Judith Kay Cerqueira

Judith Kay (Kanne) Cerqueira, 82, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 26, 2023 surrounded by her family at her home.
She was born on March 8, 1941, in Rensselaer, Indiana, to the late Harold Kanne and Leona (Kosta) Kanne. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Jill Wagner; and sister, Peg Prohosky.
Judy is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Joe Cerqueira; sons, Jeff (Michelle) Cerqueira, and John (Shelley) Cerqueira; brother, George (Linda) Kanne; grandchildren, Katie (Justin) Vanlaningham, Schyler Cerqueira, Cory Wagner, Braxton Cerqueira, Riley Cerqueira, and Maggie Cerqueira; and great-grandchildren, Landon and Evelyn.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, December 4, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will follow at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Judy's memory can be made to the American Diabetes Association (P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023).
