Joyce Whitacre Sample

Joyce Whitacre Sample, age 77, passed away February 7, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Gerald "Jerry", parents Walter and Hazel Whitacre and sister Jackie Rubenaker. She was the retired co-founder, with her husband of Tyme-It Transportation, X-ray technician, worked in Special Education with JCPS, was a charter member of The Sweet Adeline's, the Cornerstone Class, several Bridge Clubs, an active member of Southeast Christian Church and volunteer in the Pastoral Care Ministry and the Easter Pageant.

Joyce is survived by her son Stephen (Karen) and daughter Kimberly Rexroat (Mark); grandchildren, Tyson, Jenna, Brent, Brian, Hope and Faith; and great grandchildren, Jackson and Luca. Also surviving are several Nieces and Nephews.

Funeral ceremony will be held 1:30 PM Tuesday Feb.12th at Southeast
Christian Church, 920 Blankenbaker Parkway with entombment at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 1-7 PM Monday at Newcomer Funeral Home 235 Juneau Drive and after 11:30 AM Tuesday in the Fireside Room at the church. Expressions may be made to Bob Russell Ministries or Hosparus of Louisville.
