Joyce Diana (Staples) Thompson, 56, of Clarksville, died Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville. Joyce was a member of Pathway of Holiness in Shepherdsville Kentucky, and was an avid UK fan.
She was born on October 6, 1957 in Alma, Michigan to the late Laurel and Stella (Licastro) Staples. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Warren Staples; and sister, Nancy Andrews.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Kenneth Elisha Thompson; children, Sarah Quinn, Kenneth E. Thompson (Tabatha), Elizabeth Thompson, and Meagan Thompson; siblings, Larry Staples, Nelson Staples, Sandra Miller, Alice Nelson, Lloyd Staples, and Buddy Staples; grandchildren; John Quinn Jr., Amberlin Quinn, Aaron Quinn, Jayden, Jaylen, Madison, Kaylee, and Mason Thompson, Michael Stone, and Elliana Fields.
Visitation will be 11 AM to 2 PM Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Newcomer (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). Her Funeral Service will be at 2 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pathway of Holiness Church (235 4th Ave. Shepherdsville, Kentucky 40165).
