Joyce Ann Orr Reed

Joyce Ann Orr Reed, 66, passed away on May 22, 2018. She was an animal lover and enjoyed feeding her squirrels, spending time with her grandchildren and porch-sitting with her aunts and cousins. Her best years were spent with family (and Eric Wells) camping and boating at Rough River.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Thompson; father, Homer Orr and step-father, Eugene Thompson.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Robert C. Reed; children, Matthew (Tammie), Bobbi Jo, Shannon and Erin (Stephanie); adopted daughter, Jennifer Hornback; grandchildren, Caleb Reynolds, Allie Reynolds, Shelby Gonzales, Emily Gonzales, Caden and Jake; sister, Anita (Mark) Mathis and brothers, Terry Orr and Artie (Brenda) Vaughn.
Visitation will be Tuesday May 29, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY from 1pm-8pm. A celebration of Joyce's life will be Wednesday, May 30, 2018, beginning at 11am at the chapel of the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery, 10917 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY.
The family asks that expressions of sympathy be made to the Kentucky Humane Society, 1000 Lyndon Lane, Louisville, KY 40222.
