Joyce Lee Metzger

Joyce Lee Metzger, 85, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2022. She was born on August 29, 1937, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late William and Katherine (Hoehn) Meyers. Joyce had a passion for nature and the outdoors. She enjoyed horses, the rolling hills of Louisville, and Spring Mill State Park. Joyce loved to dance and once shared a dance with the famous Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz, Ray Bolger.

Joyce is survived by her children, James (Jenine) Braden, Jeffrey (Michelle) Braden, and Jennifer Pierce; 10 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Her Graveside Service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Calvary Cemetery (1600 Newburg Road, Louisville, KY 40205). Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana) was entrusted with her care.
