Joyce Ann Fey of Louisville, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on September 7, 2024. A cherished wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Joyce's warmth and love profoundly impacted the lives of those who knew her, especially her beloved grandchildren.
Born on August 20, 1942, in Louisville to Felix and Frances (Yates) Knopp, Joyce embraced life with a joyful spirit. She would often share her passion for painting and had a fondness for classic movies, with "Gunsmoke" being one of her favorites. An avid Elvis fan, she created lasting memories when she visited Graceland a few years ago. Joyce also enjoyed the thrill of playing BINGO and had a particular passion for Elephants.
Joyce dedicated many years of her career to Rocket Cleaners, demonstrating great loyalty and commitment. She was also a self-taught gemologist and loved shopping on JTV. Her vibrant personality and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Felix M. Knopp and Frances Orene Knopp; her beloved husband, John R. Fey; her children, Joan Elizabeth Ranburger and Johnny Joseph Fey; and her siblings, Darryl Knopp and Betty Frances Knopp.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Kim J. (Donald) McKinley and Mitzi P. (Paul) Lanham; Daughter-In-Law, Jackie Fey: her grandchildren, Janae Thomas, Misty Davis, Ray Gore, Paul Lanham, Crystal Gore, Lauren (Patrick) Bogard, Ashly (Lynzi) Fey, Cassy Fey, Jenna (Daniel) Gex, and Dillon Fey; several great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Marcella (Butch) Harley, Jean Vittitoe, Allen (Ieda) Knopp, Terry (Grace) Knopp, Debbie Knopp, and Tammy (Bill) Klinglesmith. Additionally, Joyce leaves behind a loving network of nieces, nephews, family, and friends who will cherish her memory forever.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy. Following the visitation, a funeral service will take place at 12:30 PM at the same location, with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
In honor of Joyce’s legacy, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to St. Jude's Children’s Research Hospital.
