Joyce Marie Condra Dierking

Joyce Marie (Condra) Dierking, 83, died on December 7, 2022, at Green Valley Care Center. She graduated from New Albany High School in 1957. Joyce was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Joyce was born on August 10, 1939, in New Albany, Indiana, to Walter Vernon and Wilma Naomi (McMahel) Condra. In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Ronald L. Dierking; and her oldest sister, Nancy Jane (Condra) Miller.

Joyce is survived by her 5 children, Leigh Hopper (Ed), Marcia Fairholm (Scott), David Dierking (Lori), Jennifer Tincher (Mark), and Janet Fitzpatrick (Michael). Joyce was the beloved Granny to her 18 grandchildren, Michael, Brooke, Kristin, Amanda, Katie, Abby, Jill, Tyler, John, Matthew, Julia, Allie, Hayley, Nick, Zack, Lauren, Megan, and Hannah; and her 16 great-grandchildren, Jacob, Thomas, Audrey, Clara, Lilly, Amarys, Ethan, Olivia, Benjamin, Asher, Spencer, Emma, Milo, Michael, Elliott, and Joshua. Joyce is also survived by her sister, Joanne (Condra) Morris; her brother, David Condra (Sandra); her nieces, Nancy Miller, Laura (Morris) McGuirk, and Rebekah Condra; and her nephews, Ray Miller and Chris Morris.

The family would like to thank Brad and Jeanie King and the caregivers at Emma's Place in Pekin, Indiana, for their care and love extended to Joyce in the 11 months she was there. The family also thanks the caregivers and staff at SouthernCare Hospice and Green Valley Care Center for everything that they did to help Joyce these last few months.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 12, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Edwardsville Cemetery.
