Joyce Sue Anderson

Joyce Sue Anderson, 81, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. Joyce enjoyed crocheting and was known for her love of mashed potatoes. Joyce also played on bowling leagues with her family. She adored her beloved dog, Cleatus.

Joyce was born on December 17, 1941, in Salem, Indiana, to Merle and Opal (Medlock) Pollock. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Allen Lee Anderson; and sisters, Geraldine Jones and Carron Weston.

Joyce is survived by her daughter, Tammy (Chris Freeman) Anderson; stepdaughters, Sandy (Frank) Jones and Karen Sexton; grandchildren, Caitlin Doyle, Cole (Kelly) Anderson, and Morgan (Alex) Spencer; great-grandson Kayson Anderson; great-granddaughter, Paizleigh Ann; sister, Judith Lincks; nephew, Michael Lincks; nieces, Pamela (Dave) Weston Wells, Penny Weston, and Jamie (David) Jones Everage; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Visitation will continue on Monday, May 8, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Her funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park (2778 Charlestown Road, New Albany).
