Joshua Allen Wheatley

Joshua Allen Wheatley, 35, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023. Joshua was.."The Weeze". He had a heart of gold, and an unrivaled spirit. He wouldn't have much, but he would give it all in the event that anyone else needed it more. He was goofy. He was understanding. He was, to say the least, unique, but he was AMAZING. A loving father, a devoted brother, a caring persona only matched by his passion for others. He lived his life as best he could, and will be forever adored, cherished, loved, and remembered as the goofy happy go lucky, misunderstood and awesome irreplaceable person he was.

He was born on February 16, 1988 in Louisville, Kentucky to David and Melissa (Edelen) Wheatley. He is preceded in death by his mother, Melissa Edelen.

Joshua is survived by his loving family, son, Cayden Wheatley, daughter, Aryonna Wheatley, daughter, Jayda Wheatley; granddaughter, Journey Wheatley; father, David Wheatley; brothers, David Wheatley, Brian Wheatley; fiance', Christine Barrett; best friend, Tyler Ramage; as well as a host of extended family and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.

Visitation will be on Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway.

The family requests that contributions in Joshua's memory be made to Alcoholics Anonymous.
