Joseph Rodford Wright, Jr.

Joseph Rodford "Squeaky" Wright, Jr., was born on April 17, 1955, in Lebanon, Kentucky, to Joseph Wright, Sr., and Rosella (Newby) Payne. He departed this life on Thursday, July 13, 2023. He graduated from Male High School. He accepted Christ at an early age.
He was known to many as "Apache." Joseph enjoyed playing pool and riding motorcycles and was an avid reader of many books. He was liked by everyone and never met a stranger. He held a special place in everybody's lives. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Wright, Sr., and Rosella Payne.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Scott and Dominque Wright and Dawnita Whitehead; one granddaughter, Janelle Whitehead; his siblings, George Wright (Tamar), Pamela Speights (Mark), Lenora Wright, Cynthia Wilson (Isaac), and Sheila Webster; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and one uncle, Paul Newby.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
