Joseph Wahl

Joseph G. Wahl, 92, passed away on September 11, 2014, at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, Indiana after spending three years at Autumn Woods Health Clinic.
He was born on August 8, 1922 to the late Joseph and Veronica (Fink) Wahl. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Howard Wahl and sister, Mariam Mudd.
Joe retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church, Past President of the Lost Chord Club in Louisville, Kentucky, and a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Hilda Jenkins Wahl; 3 step-children; sister, Julie Schafer (Ed); nephews, Tray Schafer (Alice), Steve Mudd (Kathy), and Chris Mudd; nieces, Paula Gray (Bill) and Julie Colson (Kevin); and seven great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Monday, September 15, 2014 from 12 PM to 1 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN). His Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with burial to follow at St. Michael's Cemetery in Louisville, KY.
