Joseph Douglas Perez, 42, of Charlestown, Indiana, passed away on January 28, 2014. Joe was an employee at Ford Motor Company in Louisville and a member of the UAW Union Local 862. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing guitar.
Joe was born on January 8, 1972 in New Albany, Indiana to Joseph U. Perez and the late Deborah L. (Bland) Boggs. Along with his father, he is survived by his wife, Debra E. (Pelfrey) Perez; children, Zachary and Brooklyn Perez; grandchild-to-be, Jesse Perez; stepmother, Sharon Perez; brothers, Adam Merica and James Perez; sisters, Angela Boggs, Marcia Searson (Nick),and Amy Jeffers; his aunt, Pam Minton; uncle, James Petty, Jr.; cousins, Missy Wallace, and Heather Bland ; his canine companion, Molly; and many good friends and family.
Visitation will be from 11 AM to 1 PM on Monday, February 3, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) followed by his Funeral Service at 1 PM with burial to follow.
Memorial contributions may be made to Joe's children in care of the funeral home.
