Joseph Matthew Morgeson

Joseph "Matt" Matthew Morgeson, 47, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023. Matt was the best dad and a better man. He was a loving Papa. He was a constant in his kids lives and would do anything and everything for them. He was an avid UofL fan, fisherman, and grill master. Family time meant the world to him and that's when he showed his true goofy self. You knew you were being hugged when he gave his famous bear hugs. He enjoyed many activities from going to the movies to throwing the ball around the yard. He was an all around good guy and he will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the honor of knowing him.

He was born on February 16, 1976 in Louisville, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his Mother, Diana Lee St. John, and Daughter, Samantha Lee Morgeson.

Matt is survived by his loving family, Children, Alyssa May (Michael) Oller, Matthew Gage (Emma) Morgeson, and Dawson Lee Morgeson; Granddaughter, Ashlynn Oller; Siblings, Heather (Mark) Carter and Pat Morgeson, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish his memory forever.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Thursday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.

The family requests that contributions in Matt's memory be made to the funeral home for funeral expenses.
