Joseph Kendall, age 87 of Louisville, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014. He was a WWII Army Veteran and an avid golfer. He was the manager of the Metropolitan Amateur Baseball Association (MABA), and coached the St. Matthews Merchants. Joe was a retired meat cutter with Thomas Meat Company with over 40 years of service. He was a member of Evangel Tabernacle and attended Highview Church.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Lillie; children, Joe T. Kendall, Margaret Center (Steve); grandchildren, Steven (Keera) and Jacob Center; brothers, Anthony Kendall (Katherine) and John Kendall; several nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends. Joe is expecting his first great-grandchild in the near future.
Funeral ceremony will be 11am Thursday, July 24, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with burial to follow at 1pm in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY. Visitation will be 4-8pm Wednesday and after 9:30am Thursday until time of service at the funeral home.
