Joseph Edward Johnson, Iii

Joseph Edward "Jody" Johnson, III, 61, passed away on June 23, 2022. Jody was a Christian. He was a 1979 graduate of Valley High School where he played baseball and as an adult played in several softball leagues. Jody was a talented machinist and enjoyed woodworking. He loved being outdoors, going fishing and had a great love for animals. Jody was an avid UofL fan and enjoyed watching basketball and football with his mom.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Edward Johnson, Jr; paternal grandparents, Joseph Edward and Ethel L. Johnson and maternal grandparents, Edgar N. and Lura A. Robinson.

Jody leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter, Christy Boston; mother, Joan Johnson; sister, Sheree (Cliff) Cherry; nieces, Heather (JT) Humston, Chelsea (Paul) Frazier and Jennifer (Geoff) Bush; great-nephews, Seth Humston, Isaac Humston and Lincoln Frazier; great-nieces, Moriah Humston, Hannah Humston and Eden Humston and his four legged sidekick, Boodah.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 4pm-8pm with a celebration of Jody's life beginning at 6pm.
