Joseph Lee Ferguson, 75, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023. Joseph was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will truly be missed by all of his friend and family.
He was born on November 21, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky to George and Gladys (Rhodes) Ferguson. He is preceded in death by his Father, George H. Ferguson, Siblings, Starletta Ferguson, Ogretta Ferguson, and George Burrurs.
Joseph is survived by his loving Wife of 42 years, Viola Ferguson; Mother, Gladys A. Smith; Children, Stacy Ferguson, Stephanie (James) Ferguson-Williams, Joceyln Ferguson, Shannon Holden, Kenneth (Patricia) Taylor, and Lamont (Direeter) Taylor; 10 Grandchildren; 8 Great-Grandchildren; Siblings, George Ferguson, Jr., Larry (Wanda) Ferguson, Lottie (Don) Mitchell, Ronald Ferguson, Gail Polk, Charles (Pamela) Johnson, and John (Delita) Smith, Jr.; Sister-In-Laws, Dorothy J. (Albert) Lanier, Linda F. Sowell, Stella L. Byars, and Rosetta Byars; Brother-In-Law, Walter Perry, Sr., as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church, (1213 Dixie Hwy Louisville, KY 40210). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, at Mercy Seat Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow at Green Meadows Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
