Joseph Doyle Cecil

Joseph Doyle Cecil age 91, was called home to his Heavenly Father on July 18, 2014. He was one of thirteen children from Holy Cross, Kentucky and worked for U.S. Army Airforce at Curtis Wright, 25 years at Naval Ordnance Station, Machinist Union President, AFL-CIO Counselor and President of Union Labor Housing. Joseph enjoyed spending time with the love of his life Doris, of 71 years.

He is survived by his loving wife Doris, daughter Karen Wright(Leon), two sons; Gary(Roberta) and Kevin(Evelyn), four grandchildren; Robin Hudson, Shelley Schuler(Mark), Lauren Flippin(John) and Jeremy Cecil along with seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to The Home of The Innocents.

Visitation will be Tuesday July 22, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville,KY 40243 from 5-8pm. Service will be Wednesday July 23, 2014 at 11am with burial to follow at Cave Hill Cemetery.
