He is preceded in death by his father, George Cooley; and brother, Frank Cooley.
Joe is survived by his mother, Ruth Hampton Lindley; siblings, Debbie (Ben) Marrs, Walter (Tamara) Cooley, Gene (Vera) Cooley, and Melvin (Shamara) Cooley; and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation was chosen following Joe's wishes and no services will be held at this time. Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN) was entrusted with his care.
