Joseph Alton Burt, Jr.

Joseph Alton "Joey" Burt, Jr, 68, of Louisville, KY, passed away on February 1, 2023. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and graduated from United Electronic Institute with the highest honors. One of Joey's many hobbies included repair work, which is why he was known as "Mr. Fix-It." He enjoyed painting, puzzles, golfing, trivia and was a UofL fan. Joey had a compassionate heart, he was always willing and looking for ways to help, love and serve others.

Joey leaves to cherish his memories, his sons, Nic Burt and Chris (Megan) Burt; grandchildren, Violet, Embrie, Rose and Penelope; mother, Dorothy Proctor; father, Joseph Alton Burt, Sr; siblings, Betsy Budde, Tim Burt, Suzy Burt and Patty (Buddy) McGuffey and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 7880 St. Andrews Church Road, Louisville, KY 40258, from 10am-1:30pm with a celebration of Joey's life beginning at 1:30.

Joey will be laid to rest at Louisville Memorial Gardens-West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY.

The family would like to say a special thank you to the Nurses and PCA's at Audubon Hospital, 5 West, for the service, care and dedication they showed to Joey.
