Mr. Joseph Alfred Rourke, age 83, passed away Friday, September 14, 2012, at home surrounded by his loving family.
He was in the Navy, a Veteran of World War II.
He was an employee of Mead Containers for 25 years.
Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, on October 26, 1928, he is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dolores (Richard); children include Gloria (David) Duff , Thomas (Marly) Rourke , Donna (Paul) Doiron , Timothy Rourke, and Nancy Rourke; grandchildren Bryan Duff, Daniel Duff, Douglas (Angela) Duff, Patrick Duff, Thomas Duff, Alan Duff, Kathryn (Michael) Rishforth, Kelly Duff, Riley Duff, Christopher (Jennifer) Rourke, Stephanie Miller, Nathan (Lori) Shields, Meagan (Henry) Leist, Miranda (Dustin) Richards, James (Lisa) Doiron, Craig (Heather) Doiron, Nicholas (Robyn) Doiron, Joanna Doiron, Kristine Rourke and Joseph Rourke; great-grandchildren Kayla Duff, Cadence Duff, Madyson Duff, Ashlynn Rishforth, Sophie Mae Doiron, Omri Doiron, Liam Doiron, Anna and Emma Doiron, Eli Doiron, Henry Doiron, Shelby (Katan) Parker, Sean Miller, Noah Miller, Wyatt Shields, Garett Shields, Courtney Lyons, Avery Leist, and Arabella Richards; great-great grandson Korbyn Parker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Austin and Josephine Rourke; brothers Francis, Daniel, and Gus; sisters Mae (Frank) Koski, Annabelle (Curtis) Pare, Genevieve (Guy) Smith, Josephine (Leo) Marchand; and special family friend Dave Bourgeois.

Visitation will be at Newcomer Funeral Home, Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., on Monday, September 17, 2012, followed by a memorial service.
