Jose Eduardo Cortes, 22, of New Albany, Indiana passed away peacefully on July 17, 2011 at his home.
Jose was born on June 14, 1989 in Mexico City, Mexico to Claudia (Estrada) Hutt and the late Jose T. Cortes.
Along with his mother he is survived by his step-father, Chris Durbin; sister, Tania Hutt of Jeffersonville, Indiana and grandparents, Adela Sofia Andrade and Judith Perez Peralda.
Visitation will be from 11 AM to 8 PM on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 10 AM on Friday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Edwardsville Cemetery.
Contributions in Jose's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hosparus – the Hospice Community of Southern Indiana.
