Johnny Jager

Johnny Jager, 69, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024.

He was born on August 10, 1954 in Louisville to the late Joseph and Helen Marie Jager. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Mark Jager.

Johnny is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Vicki Jager, son, John Michael (Sherrill) Jager, Jr., daughter, Ashley Catherine Jager, grandchildren, Logan Johnson, Emma Jager and Carley Jager, siblings, Larry (Connie) Jager, Joseph (Sandy) Jager, Brenda (Tom) Goodwin and Linda Jager. Along with a host of other family and friends; to include nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws, that will miss him very much

Johnny was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. In his pass time he enjoyed fishing, camping and being outdoors, as well as restoring 1955 and 1957 Chevy's. His 1955 Chevy was especially significant to him; this was the car that Vicki and him had their first date.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:30 am on Wednesday, March 20th at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 11:30 am on Wednesday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. After the service the family will continue to celebrate Johnny's life at the Fern Creek Community Association & Chamber of Commerce (6104 Bardstown Rd, Louisville KY 40291).
