Johnny Douglas Groce

Johnny Douglas Groce, 79, of Louisville, died March 8, 2024 at Baptist Hospital East after a brief illness.
He was born in Glasgow Kentucky to the late Raymond "Jack" and Wilma Bryant Groce. Doug was a 1962 graduate of Glasgow High School , Western Kentucky University and attended Lexington Theological Seminary.
Doug lived much of his adult life in Louisville and was retired from the Commonwealth of Kentucky, Disability Determinations Services.
He is survived by his brother, Jacob Ayers of Louisville, several cousins and even more friends.
At Doug's request there will be no service. A private burial will be held at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville with a gathering of family and friends held in Glasgow at a later date.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to St Jude's Children's Hospital. Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions in Louisville is in charge of the arrangements.
