John William Strange, III, 60, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at his home with his family gathered around him. He was a man of pure faith and his family truly meant everything to him.
John was born on September 1, 1953 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late John W., Jr. and Marilyn (Chappell) Strange. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Kathy (Schmitt) Strange; children, Brandon Strange (Jennifer), Jessica Strange, Amy Tucker, Kristy Tucker; siblings, Ginger Wright (Danny), Jeff Strange (Susan); and grandchildren, Jordan, Kaylie, Michael, Jayden, Ashton, Reece, Graham, and Caroline.
Cremation was chosen following John's wishes. A reception of family and friends will be from 2 to 8 PM on Friday, May 9, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN).
Contributions in John's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society (701 W. Muhammad Ali Blvd, Louisville, KY 40203).
