John "Jt" Thompson

John "JT" Thompson, 78, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022. John was known as The Great JT and an avid UK fan. He had various commentary spotlights on Kentucky Sports Radio. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. He served with honor and courage in the United States Army.
He was born on February 21, 1944 in Louisville, Kentucky to John and Geneva Thompson. He is preceded in death by his Father, John Irvin Thompson, Sr. and Mother, Geneva Edna Thompson.
John is survived by his family, Children, Chelsea (Les) Saul, William Maurice (Maria) Brown, and Randall C. (Kelly) Heyward; Grandchildren, Randall Heyward, II, Chelsea Heyward, Karen Heyward, Martin Hargrove, II, Taylon Crume, Zachary Brown, and William Gabe Brown; Cousins, Krystal Gober and Kendis Dave, as well as a host of family and special friends.
His Celebration of Life will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday October 29th, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
