John Albert Spicer

John Albert Spicer, 83, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023. He graduated from Mississippi State University and had a successful engineering career. John enjoyed woodworking and wood carving and had a passion for plants.

He was born on July 28, 1939, in Memphis, Tennessee, to Harold and Maxine (Little) Spicer. John is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Carolyn (Cukrowski) Spicer; daughter, Johnna Selvage (Dan); granddaughter, Scarlett Selvage; and sisters, Jerris and Penny Spicer.

John's wish was to be cremated, and a reception of family and friends will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with a memorial service taking place at 2:00 p.m.
