John Robert Sanning

Bob Sanning, 83, of Louisville, widower of Kathy Edelen Sanning, passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2023.

He was a graduate of Trinity High School in the first graduating class of 1957. The University of Kentucky was his alma mater and he was a Kentucky Wildcat fan all of his life.

He was a lifelong musician, playing piano and singing with his band 'Early Autumn'. He also was a member of the Four Freshmen society.

An animal lover, he will be sorely missed by his beloved cats, Patches and Jasmine.

Other than his wife Kathy, Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Al and Virginia Sanning; and his brother Al Sanning, Jr..

Bob leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughter, Stephanie Jacobi (Dennis); three grandsons, Jacob, Christopher (Haley) and Lucas Jacobi; his nieces, Debbie, Jan, Barbie, Kathy, and Alison; and his nephew, Al.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243). A funeral service will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Kentucky Humane Society in his memory.
