Mr. John C. Rueff, Jr. passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2012.
Born on August 13, 1937 and raised in Louisville, he entered the seminary when he was only 13 years old and attended until his ordination in 1964. Jack was a Diocesan Priest of Louisville, KY. for 10 years during this time, where he taught and coached at Trinity High School. After life took him in another direction, he left the priesthood and became a University of Louisville Athletic and Academic Advisor and football coach. He married the love of his life, Lynn, on June 15, 1974, in Lexington KY. His last job was working for Bullitt County for the adult learning "Next Step Program" for 13 years until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his parents, John C. and Alice Franconia Rueff.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Lynn; daughter, Joy; son, Patrick (Brandye); grandchildren, Ella and Aidan; beloved sister, SCN Carol Rueff; twin brothers, Dan (Donna) and Tom (Nancy). He was a wonderful brother, husband, father, friend, and teacher. He loved opening others eyes to God's love and teaching others to trust Jesus.
A celebration of Jack's Life will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2012 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church 1206 Maple Lane Anchorage, KY. Visitation will be at the church on Friday, June 1st from 6:30-8:30p.m.
