John Rickman, Sr.

John Henry Rickman, Sr., 81, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on November 16, 2011.

John was born on April 15, 1930 in Gallatin, Tennessee to the late Dixie & Louise A. (Harper) Rickman. He was a retired butcher for Fischer's Packing Company.

John is survived by his children, Linda F. Taylor, John H. Rickman, Jr. (Marry), Anna M. Robert (Samuel), Alice L. Rickman, Larry E. Rickman, & Frances L. Muir (Robert); brothers, Dixie Rickman, Jr. & Earl Rickman, Sr.; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren. Along with his parents, John is preceded in death by his wife, Frances E. (Talbott) Rickman; brother, Wendel Rickman; & grandson, Lee M. Taylor.

Visitation will be 10 AM to 12 PM on Friday, November 18, 2011 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). Immediately following visitation, his Funeral Service will be held at 12 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
