John Forrest Revell, 65, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 25, 2013 at home with the love of his life, Sharon Hayes Bott, by his side.
John was born September 25, 1947 to the late Elizabeth and Mentor Revell. He was also preceded in death by his brother Howard "Butch" Revell.
John was a 1966 graduate of PRP High School and completed his BS degree at Western Kentucky University in 1970 where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He was retired having most recently worked as Public Relations and Communication Manager for USA Cares, Inc, a non-profit agency providing assistance to military families in crisis.
He is survived by his life partner, Sharon; his children: Cherry (Scott) Matott, Brad Revell, and Erin Revell; 4 grandchildren: MacKinnley John, Riley Elizabeth, and Ellen Elise Matott, and Lucian Gabrial Revell; sisters: Leyda (Layne) Smith and Debbie Revell; and many nieces and nephews who were very dear to his heart.
A private Celebration of Life is planned for family and friends. He was cremated according to his wishes.
