John Otto Stegner

John Otto "Pop" Stegner, 84, of Jeffersonville, Indiana was called home on Tuesday, January 15, 2013. He was the owner of Stegner's Service Station in downtown Louisville where he worked along side his sons. John had previously been employed as a sales manager for the McJunkin Corporation.

John was born on August 24, 1928 in Marietta, OH to the late Darrah and Alice (Maunix) Stegner. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Charles A. Stegner and daughter-in-law, Deborah Stegner.

Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Josephine M. "Jo" Stegner; sons, Jerry A. Stegner, James L. Stegner, and his wife, Sharron; grandchildren, Ashley, Cody, Robyn, Brandon Stegner, Jacqueline Guilford, Christy Nash; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4 PM to 8 PM Friday, January 18, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Ln., New Albany). His Funeral Service will be held Saturday at 11 AM at the funeral home with burial to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery.
