John Robert Moore, 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 surrounded by his two daughters and loving companion.
He was born on December 27, 1948 in Covington, Kentucky to the late Hugh, Jr. and Elizabeth (Kirk) Moore.
John grew up in Frankfort, Ky and was a graduate from the University of Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky University and the University of Louisville where he received his Masters in Criminal Justice Administration. He served his community as a Police Officer and also taught in the University Setting. He had many passions including scuba diving, hunting, fishing and shooting. After retirement he spent time volunteering with the Friends of the NRA and then later became a CCDW Master Instructor. He enjoyed reading and could often be found with a book in his hand.
John is survived by his daughters, Sara Pinotti (David), Alysia Burris (Brandon), loving companion Carolyn Eads and four grandchildren, Lillian, Bradley, Carson and Madeline.
Due to the current Covid19 guidelines all services are private and he will be laid to rest at Frankfort Cemetery (215 East Main Street Frankfort, KY 40601).
The family requests that contributions in John's memory be made to Friends of the NRA.
