John "Stan" Minnic, born on April 3, 1951, in Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his home on January 9, 2025, surrounded by his family after a long illness. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication, professionalism, and a love for life that touched all who knew him.
Stan had a successful career as a Real Estate Agent for many years before establishing his own Building and Construction Company, Minnic Homes. His commitment to excellence and his unwavering work ethic garnered him respect and admiration within the industry. In addition to his professional achievements, Stan was passionate about Thoroughbred horse racing, a pursuit that led him to own and race several horses over the years. His appreciation for sports extended to college athletics, where he found joy both in watching games and cheering on his favorite teams. Fishing was another beloved pastime that he enjoyed for many years.
Stan is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years, Gale Bryant Minnic; his sons, Joshua Minnic (Julie) and John Minnic (Leona); and his grandchildren, Palmer Minnic, Alex Minnic, and Elizabeth Minnic. He also leaves behind his sister, Charlene Minnic. The warmth and love of his family were sources of great strength for him throughout his life.
The visitation will take place on January 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Southeast Christian Church, Blakenbaker Campus Chapel, located at 920 Blankenbaker Parkway, Louisville, KY 40243. This will be followed by a Funeral Service on the same day at 11:00 AM at the church. Entombment will follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens East, located at 11601 Ballardsville Rd, Louisville, KY 40241.
Stan's presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit and the many memories he created will remain in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
