John "Mike" Forman

John "Mike" Forman, 77, of Georgetown, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2012 at his home. A jack-of-all-trades, he spent many years working as a carpenter. Mike was a member of Georgetown Christian Church and enjoyed many holiday seasons portraying Santa Claus in the local community. He was a friend to all he met and truly loved the family of whom he was so proud.

Mike was born on November 30, 1935 in Syracuse, New York to the late John H. and Lelan C. (Chilson) Forman. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Virginia L. (Lori) Forman; children, Brenda Shaw (Garry), Cathy Wicke, Thomas Forman (Sherry); sister, Beverly Forman; brother and sister-in-laws, Billy, James Lori, Peggy Carmichael, Carolyn King; grandchildren, John L. Shaw (Christina), Ben Shaw (Dee), Sulena Zollman (Eric), John H. Forman (Jamie), David Lee Forman (Tommie Leann), Jeff Wicke (fiancée, Amanda); and 8 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12 to 6 PM Sunday, December 9, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Ln., New Albany). His Funeral Service will be held Monday at 11 AM at the funeral home with private burial to follow at Byrneville Cemetery.
