**In Loving Memory of John Mattingly**

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Mattingly, age 61, of Louisville, Kentucky, who left us on March 5, 2025.

John was a remarkable man, beloved as a husband, father, brother, papaw, and uncle Throughout his life, he devoted himself to his family and cherished the time spent together. He had a passion for rock concerts and festivals, a love for fishing and grilling, and found joy in the simple moments shared with loved ones.

As a dedicated caregiver for over 44 years, John was an advocate for both children and adults with special needs. His unwavering commitment to this vocation was recognized at both state and federal levels in 2018, reflecting his kindness and dedication to making a difference in the lives of others.

Born on June 17, 1963, in Louisville, John was the cherished son of David and Joann (Corbett) Mattingly. He is reunited in death with his beloved wife, Jenny Mattingly; his precious daughter, Katelyn Mattingly; his brothers, Joseph and Dean Mattingly; and his dear granddaughter, Alessa.

John is survived by his loving daughters, Emilie (Cory) Mattingly and Krystina Edlin; his son, John (Felicia) Edlin; his brother, Keith (Paula) Mattingly; his sister, Michelle (Mike) Grace; as well as his grandchildren, Katelyn, Lexi, Kaden, Mila, and Michael. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, all of whom will forever cherish the loving memories they shared with him.

Family and friends are invited to honor John's life during visitation on Monday, March 24, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy. John's memorial service will follow at 1:00 PM at the same location.
