John Franklin Martin

John Franklin Martin, 86, was welcomed home to his Heavenly Father the morning of September 25, 2023. He passed away at the hospital with his daughter, Sue Cooper, at his side. John was born in Hardinsburg, IN on March 16, 1937, to Estelle and Ancel Martin.
He is survived by his long time friend, Louis Cundiff, Sr; daughters, Sue Cooper and Shirley Williams; sons, Arthur Martin and Rex Martin; sister, Elizabeth Drury and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 4pm-8pm. A celebration of John's life will be Wednesday, October 4, 2023, beginning at 11am.
A graveside service will be at Louisville Memorial Gardens, West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, following John's service.
