John Lichwa, Jr.

John Lichwa Jr., 76, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and the United States Navy. John was with Martin Transportation as a truck driver for over 30 years. During his free time he loved riding his motorcycle and attending many bike fests. John was a horse enthusiast who enjoyed going to rodeos and tending to his own horses. He had a heart of gold and will be forever missed.

He was born on August 20, 1947 in New Brunswick, New Jersey to John and Kazimiera (Gryziecka) Lichwa. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Tom Lichwa, Anthony Lichwa, Walter Lichwa; sister, Josephine Lichwa and nephew, David Stoker.

John is survived by his loving sister, Kathy Stoker, sons, Kevin (Carrie) Lichwa, Lance Lichwa, and Franklin Lichwa; nieces, Lisa (April) Stoker and Nancy Johnson.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His celebration of life will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Bethany Memorial Cemetery (10917 Dixie Highway) Louisville, Kentucky.
