John Lee

John W. Lee, 70, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2011 in Louisville, Kentucky. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, John retired from the former Naval Ordnance Station in Louisville after 30+ years. He was fanatic about NASCAR and enjoyed attending races around the country. A 1959 New Albany High School graduate, he was a member of the American Legion Bonnie Sloan Post 28 in New Albany.

John was born on February 13, 1941 in New Albany. He is preceded in death by his parents, William B. Lee and Harold A. and Gertrude (Steiger) Ems. He is survived by his daughter, Cami Lee of New Albany; brothers, Robert Ems and Dale Lee; and many friends.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 PM on Wednesday, May 4, and after 12:00 PM on Thursday at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 1 PM on Thursday at the funeral home with military honors and burial to follow at Edwardsville Cemetery in Georgetown, Indiana.
