John Sherman Jeffery

John Sherman Jeffery, 72, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2022. John was a Church going man who loved going fishing, golfing, and dancing. He loved being in the outdoors on picnics and grilling out. John was a happy and joyful man who made an impact on others that he met no matter the situation. He was always down for having a good time, being a ladies man, and was the life of the party. John graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1968 where he excelled in sports. After graduation John joined the United States Navy and traveled the world. He then came back home to Louisville to live a good life with his family and friends. John will be missed by all those who knew him, and loved him.

He was born on January 27, 1950 in Louisville, Kentucky. He is preceded in death by his Mother, Christine Jones, Sister, Jada Thorton, Nephews, Easton Graver, and Jwon Jones, and Cousins, Clinton "Biscuit" Springer, and John "Peewee" Springer.

John is survived by his loving Children; Serena Jeffery, Chris Travis, Shavonda Johnson, John Graves, and Queen Love Seraaj, Siblings; Donald Jeffery, Keith Jeffery, Nora Graver, Lee Jeffery, Edward Jones, and Mary Gardner, Grandchildren; Kaya, Dohnavan, Stori, Demetri, Mone, and Makayla; Great Grandchildren, K2. John also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Friends, and Extended Family.

Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 12:30 pm at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (2501 North Dixie Highway, Radcliff, KY).
