John G. Hollis, 77, passed away on August 2, 2013. John loved to play golf and go bowling. He was employed at American Standard, Jeff Boat and most recently Wal-Mart.
John was born on December 27, 1935 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Earl K. and Martha Kay (Adam) Hollis. He was also preceded in death by his sister, June Hill.
John is survived by his children, Vickie Dirck, Dale Hollis, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 from 11 to 2 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with burial to follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Contributions in John's memory may be made to Floyd County Animal shelter.
