John Sherman "Johnny" Haveman, 38, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023. John was a loving father. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Johnny had a silly personality, a determined work ethic, and accomplished more than most could dream of. He was a dedicated friend and always willing to give solid advice. Johnny was an avid collector of video games and loved animals. He enjoyed spending time cooking and the wings he prepared had people returning to the barracks for more! Johnny loved bacon and gravy, and his well manicured beard. He described himself as a fantasy geek and a tech nerd. Johnny will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of knowing him.
He was born on January 22, 1985 in Cincinnati , Ohio to Mark and Gloria (Breland) Kendrick. He is preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Jean Haveman; and father, Mark Kendrick.
Johnny is survived by his loving wife, Ariel Edlin; sons, Samuel Haveman, Adam Haveman; sisters, Julia (Pat Patton) Miller, Kathryn (David) Ridiman; uncles, Allan (Lynda) Breland, Bill Breland; cousins, Scott (Terri) Breland, Kim (John Mark) Breland-Allen; as well as a host of extended family and friends to cherish his loving memory forever.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Reception, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway. A memorial service will be at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
The family requests that contributions in Johnny's memory be made to the ASPCA.
