John William Harrington III

July 17, 1960 — January 1, 2025

Clarksville, Indiana

John William Harrington III, 64, of Clarksville, Indiana, passed away on January 1, 2025. John retired after a distinguished 20-year career at Electronic Data Systems in Dallas, Texas. His professional journey was marked by hard work and integrity, traits that shaped his life both in and out of the office.

Born on July 17, 1960, he was the beloved son of Annie Laura (Hanegan) Harrington and the late John "Billy" Harrington II. He grew up in Bassfield, Mississippi and attended St. Peter's Catholic Church. An avid fisherman, he found peace on the water, where he spent countless hours fishing and camping by the lakeside. Not only did he enjoy the quiet moments of nature, but also the thrill of cheering on his daughter at her soccer matches, showcasing his unwavering support and pride as a father.

John was predeceased by his father and his beloved sisters, Lydia "Cupcake" Knight and his infant sister, Shelia Rose. He is survived by his devoted mother, Annie Laura; loving wife, Beatrice Cravens; and children, Sheila Rose Harrington (Sharon Fabrega) and Andrew "Dylan" Harrington. John also shared close bonds with his brother, Richard Harrington (Perlita Cucio Harrington); mother-in-law, Virginia Cravens; brothers-in-law, Elic "ET" Knight, Dennis Cravens, Donny Cravens (Regina), and Bobby Cravens (Deanna Townsend); and sisters-in-law, Eva Martin (Tony) and Linda Norman; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

John's wish was to be cremated and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany), has been entrusted with his care. Contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
