John C. "Johnny" Green, 69, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Johnny was a member of 40/8 Club. He enjoyed watching car racing and was an avid Denver Broncos fan.
Johnny was born on December 22, 1944 in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Clifford H. and Marjorie L. (Morton) Green. He is also preceded in death by his lifetime partner, Kathy Halcomb; daughter, Jenny Green; stepdaughter, Misty Gibson; brother, Tommy Green; sister, Donna Stiffey; and granddaughter, Chloe Newman.
He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Ralston (Kenneth); stepdaughter, Christy Newman (Aaron); brothers, Clifford, Michael, Steve, and Bobby Green; grandchildren, Avery Kirsch, Paige Christmon, Jamie Chatman, Hayley Newman, and Katlyn Gibson; and best friend, Paul Thompson.
A Memorial Gathering will be held from 5 to 8PM on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 40/8 Club (221 Albany Street, New Albany, IN 47150) with a Memorial Service at 6:30 PM at the Club.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (P. O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66075) or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105).
