John Marvin Elsler Iii

John Marvin Elsler III, 63, of Lanesville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, November 9, 2022. He was born on December 22, 1958, in Louisville, Kentucky. John enjoyed beekeeping and gardening. He was a gifted saxophone player and loved riding motorcycles. Above all else, his greatest love of all was his family.

John is survived by his wife, Susan Elsler; mother, Shirley Elsler; daughters, Nicole Ridenour, Stephanie Gronda (Derek), Adrien Elsler (Michael Keehner), Melissa Hunt, and Sherry Sexton (Tony); brother, Curtis Elsler; and grandchildren, Trae, Terence, Ashlyn, Brantley, Elliot, Rudi, Ledavion, Zion, Ayona, and Antonio. He is preceded in death by his father, John Elsler, Jr.

A Memorial Gathering will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Cremation was chosen following John's wishes.
