John Daniel Reese

John Daniel Reese went to heaven because of his faith in Christ Tuesday, June 10, 2014. He was born in Waynesburg, PA on November 10, 1917. He was employed for 35 years as an engineer by Dominion Resources. Later in life he was a greeter for 10 years at the Super Walmart on Westport Road. Throughout his life, the church was his rock and foundation. He was a 22 year plus member of Westport Road Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and two siblings.

John is survived by his loving wife of almost 67 years, Jean Eleanor Reese; children, Sharon Payne (John) and Brian Reese (Jill); grandchildren, Gretchen Benningfield (Pat), Brian Chad Reese (Kelli), Christa Giorgis (Adriano); 8 great-grandchildren, Patrick, Jr., Benjamin, Renee, Chloe, Adriano, Giovanni, Giosue and Gianna.

Funeral ceremony will be 11am Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Westport Road Baptist Church, 9705 Westport Road. Visitation will be there on Friday from 6-8pm and after 9:30am until time of service on Saturday.

Memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
