John Brown Henretty

October 30, 1939 — November 17, 2014

John B. Henretty 75, of New Albany, was called home on Monday, November 17, 2014. He was a retired pipefitter at LG&E. John was born on October 30, 1939 in Brownsville,KY to the late Charles and Maggie Henretty.

John was a Army Veteran who enjoyed camping, fishing and was the number one fan for his grandchildren's soccer games. He was also an avid UK fan.

He is survived by his loving wife Joyce of 53 years, children; John Travis and Dawn Shelly Henretty, four grandchildren; Savanna, Dalton, Blaine and Kayden, two sisters; Patsy Wood(Oliver) and Charlotte Roach(Bob) along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Thursday November 20, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN 47150 from 1-8PM. Service will be Friday November 21, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home at 11AM with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
