John William Birch

September 25, 1970 — March 18, 2019

John William Birch, 48, of Middletown, KY, passed away peacefully on March 18th, 2019 after a long battle with terminal melanoma. John was born September 25, 1970 to Claude Birch and the late Betty Jane Mahuron. He graduated from Eminence Independent School in 1989. He was employed as General Manager for Hometown Pizza, a very close knit, family based company. He enjoyed to work and spending time with his children by cheering them on at various sporting events, concerts, and even school functions. He spent most of his time trying new foods, exploring the city he loves, and cheering for those Cardinals! Preceding him in passing also is his sister, Bonnie Lynn.

John is survived by his siblings Claude Junior (CJ), Chris, Steve and Angela, 5 children, James, Zach, David, Shelby, and Benjamin, and two grandchildren, Anabelle and Aurora. A formal viewing and funeral service will be on Sunday, March 24, at 5 PM followed by cremation.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 pm on Saturday, March 23, 2019 and also 1 to 5 pm on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Ky, 40243 (in Middletown). A celebration of John's life will follow at 5 pm.

Any memorials may be made to the Heuser Hearing Institute in his honor.
