John Wallace Bartley

John Wallace Bartley, 94, of Louisville passed away on August 26, 2022. He grew up in Tompkinsville, KY. He is preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Thelma Bartley, his parents, Tessie Dotson Bartley and Otis Bartley, and his brother, JD Bartley.
He is survived by his children, James R Bartley (Judy) Linda Breedlove (Bob); his 5 grandchildren Stacy Block (Tom), Christy Ford, Jessica Howard (Ryan), Rob Breedlove (Liz), and Alisha Gatlin; his great grandchildren Matthew, Katie, Bradley, Bentley, Macauley, Ian, Blake, Brook, and Graham; his great great granddaughter Mary Harper; his is siblings Jeanette Newport (Stanley) and Judy Hagen (Randall).
John loved salt water fishing and spending time in Marco Island. For 55 years, he was an owner- operator of multiple One Hour Martinizing stores in Louisville, along with his wife and son. He was adored by his family and friends. He had a great sense of humor and always had a smile on his face.
His celebration of life will be held at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions East Chapel (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243) on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 with visitation from 12:00 pm/Noon until the time of the service at 1:00 pm.
